George, Ann, Phebe (11), Harvey (15),
Will (13).
Ann is a
Miami-of-Ohio-educated Buckeye from Cincinnati who followed God's
leading into twenty years of ministry to college students, both in
New England (Smith and Mt. Hoyoke Colleges and Brown University) and
in Soviet Russia. She met George when he came for a job interview
and has kept him busy since! She has a gift of sincere and
insightful interest in people, a trait which God uses to bless many.
Harvey (15) loves to
make things up: games, solutions, dramas, music, adventures… Caught
somewhere between affection for his Boston home of five years ago, a
love of skiing and snow, and the allure of Hogwarts, he has ventured
back to New Hampshire for an old-world boarding school experience
(with loving parents at a safe distance).
Will (13), a.k.a.
‘Water Boy,’ takes to all things wet. Will loves swimming, sailing,
hanging out at the dock, splashing, and dripping. With his mother’s
ever cheerful and empathetic disposition, he is the friend of all,
reads unremittingly, and rarely resists the temptation to indulge in
the elaboration of a silly story.
Phebe (11) has a full
catalogue of facial expressions needed for Will’s stories. Ask for a
demo. At school she is a peer counselor and a leader. After school
she loves creative arts, ballet (one of the Nutcracker dancing
Christmas trees), and excels at soccer.
George The
neighborhood always knows George as ‘The Guy Who Runs with Goggles.’
They laugh, but George is glad that he only rarely runs into trees.
When not in his study, he most enjoys sailing, fly fishing, hiking,
skiing, puttering in the garden, or (once a year) hunting his golf
balls in the woods.
